Progressive organization looking for an individual with extensive and current knowledge and experience in the field of addiction. Ideal applicant will also be well versed in medical terminology, current treatment protocols for mental illness and will have a proven track record working with individuals who are both concurrently affected and who are still ambivalent or resistant to recovery. This program is entirely abstinence based and does not draw upon harm reduction models.
This position will require the stabilization of participants toward the goal of treatment readiness. You will work closely with a team of professionals, including medical specialists, as well as community resources, to guide and support the participant.
Applicants must have applicable training (Addictions a/o Medical/Nursing/Mental Health) and/or combined experience (treatment centres, recovery centres, etc.) in working with individuals with addiction issues who are pre or in early abstinent recovery and/or have relapsed.
Applicant Must:
Have current, relevant experience working with individuals in addiction and recovery
Have current knowledge of available resources in addiction and mental health
Be comfortable liaising with medical professionals
Believe in an abstinence based approach to recovery
Be comfortable/fluent with current medical/medication protocols for addiction and mental health
Be proficient in Microsoft Office
Have strong organizational skills
Clear a criminal record check
