Years I continued with fasting and purging over excersising losing friends and lovers and so may lost opportunitys as I strove to see in the mirror something that said I was ok ,beautiful ,desirable but unfortunately it never happened. All I wanted to do was die.

The only thing left to do was die? ..... One day walking through to the cardio room I saw a female body builder so beautiful and strong and powerful . I was mesmerized was it possible that I could take this broken down mind and body and become strong and powerful ?what I saw was this incredible woman who was  courage .I realized this is what needed, I wanted ,I desired .... To be a strong powerful woman full of self confidence!

5 years later some therapy a food plan and some incredible internal strength with good support I persevere even when I feel like giving up,even when my head tells me all that sick shit that tells me I can't I still do ... And I still will despite any of it or all of it.

The Inside Edge Club is accepting new/returning slo-pitch softball player registrations. The cost for an 18 game season running April to August 2012 including Ball Jersey, Balls and Equipment, Ball diamond field rentals, a two day round robin double elimination tournament, awards banquet/dinner and dancing is $110.

Our league is mixed skill level ranging from beginner to advanced. We play the 6 male 4 female (on the field) concept with everyone taking turn at bat and we have umpired games. We play Mondays and/or Wednesday evenings with a 6:00PM start. After the game we support our sponsor, the Cedar Cottage Neighborhood Pub, where we recount our super human achievements on the diamond, enjoy a wobbly and catch a bite.
We have room for 120 players with about 60 already registered. Our intention is to have a full roster by the end of February.

Aikido is a very aerobic activity with no sparring or competition of any kind.


Aikido is traditional Japanese martial art with origins in the fighting arts of the Samurai era. We teach a very concrete and full contact approach in a supportive and fun atmosphere. We do emphasize traditional etiquette and have a rigorous approach to training. We are affiliated with the United States Aikido Federation, as the Chief Instructor, I am ranked 6th Dan and Shidoin (certified examiner), I volunteer my time to instruct.

I'm a newcomer to the vancouver metro area. I've been a meditation and yoga practitioner for 6 years, and began teaching in studios a year ago. Would love to teach and share my practice while I'm here. I am a 200 hour RYT with Yoga Alliance (though I have logged over 500 hours since I began my teacher training =]).

If there are any studios looking for teachers or an extra set of hands around the shop, I would love to help out and be a part of your community. My practice has been largely influenced by both Kundalini and Ashtanga styles of yoga, and Iyengar's attention to proper alignment also plays a huge role in how I teach. I enjoy leading restorative classes, as well as meditation and breathwork sessions.

Private sessions are also a great opportunity to get plenty of one on one attention and communication between myself and a student, and also allows me to personally customize a session to accommodate a student's intention for the class.

I think yoga is for everyone, so I teach regardless of one's ability to donate monetarily. Though donations are thoroughly appreciated. =)

We are not a class but a group of fighters sharing our knowledge with each other. Some of us have black belts, some are just beginning. In MMA and life, belts don't matter; what you can do yourself is what is important.

Stop dreaming about getting in shape, learning how to defend yourself, or taking control over your life. Get up off the couch, this is much more fun than going to the gym or taking a class and is a better workout.

Feel that you don't have the conditioning and knowledge to join us. No problem; many of us are teachers and have classes, within our own discipline or Martial art, on other nights and at other Dojo's. Most of us are willing to privately teach or have room within one of our classes.

We spar very gently and slowly with new comers until they develop core strength and some knowledge. Our #1 rule is "don't break our toys" meaning "do not hurt anyone including yourself". This we teach.

I also teach meditation, fitness, boxing, MMA, yoga, and self esteem classes. Others warriors I spar with teach; Judo, jujitsu, wrestling, Kung Fu, fitness and self improvement classes.

Tues night 7:30 - 9 pm bring a mouth guard
